先前，不少的報導都表示下一代的 iPhone 都配有指紋識別的裝置，可惜一直都只可以估計其裝置的所在位置，有人說在螢幕上，有人說在 Home 鍵之上，從IOS 7 Beta 4 看來，在 Home 鍵之上的傳聞看來更真實了！在系統內的文件AccessibilityBundles 中 BiometricKitUI ，有著以下的文字：
