Photoshop 一字，就像 Google 一樣，從一個商標和軟件名稱最終變成一個動詞，但是從 Adobe 看來，一個商標被廣泛使用到變成動詞，總不是味兒，更在 Adobe 官網的 Trademark 一頁煞有介事地說了 Photoshop 這個商標的 7 個「正確用法」。
1. 商標不是動詞！
正確用法：The image was enhanced using Adobe® Photoshop® software.(這照片已在 Adobe® Photoshop® 軟件提升了。)
錯誤用法：The image was photoshopped. (這相被 photoshop (或PS) 過了。)
2. 商標不是名詞！
正確用法：The image poke fun at the Senator.(這張照片在嘲笑那個參議員。)
錯誤用法：The photoshop pokes fun at the Senator.(這張 photoshop 在嘲笑那個參議員。)
3. 必須大楷以及正確使用商標圖案！
正確用法：The image was enhanced using Adobe® Photoshop® Element oftware.(這照片已在 Adobe® Photoshop® Element 軟件提升了。)
錯誤用法：The image was photoshopped. (這相被 photoshop (或PS) 過了。)

4. 商標從來不是俚語！

錯誤用法： A photoshopper sees his hobby as an art form

5. 商標從來不會用作 Possessive form(所有格)
正確用法：The new features in Adobe® Photoshop® software are impressive.(這些在 Adobe® Photoshop® 軟件內的新功能令人印象深刻。)
錯誤用法：Photoshop’s new features are impressive.(Photoshop 的新功能令人印象深刻。)
6. 商標名稱需要連同相屬的名詞連著使用！
正確用法：The image was manipulated using Adobe® Photoshop® software.(這張照片已被 Adobe® Photoshop® 軟件處理過。)
錯誤用法：The image was manipulated using Photoshop.(這張照片已被 Photoshop 處理過。)
7. 商標從來沒有縮寫！
正確用法：Take a look at the new features in Adobe® Photoshop® software.(來看看 Adobe® Photoshop® 軟件的新功能)
錯誤用法：Take a look at the new features in PS.(來看看 PS 的新功能)
