不論 iOS 或是 macOS ，大家也可以看到台灣旗 Emoji。但其實早在 2017 年開始，中國版本的 iPhone 已經不能顯示台灣旗 Emoji，因為蘋果早就限制了中國版的 iPhone 顯示台灣旗。不過，隨著 macOS 10.14.4 的推出，賣到中國的 Mac 也開始封鎖台灣旗的表情圖示。根據一些中國 Mac 用戶匯報，升級 macOS 10.14.4 後，即使在系統設定中更改地區，也無法顯示台灣旗 Emoji。
在台灣旗問題上，中國也對很多科技公司施壓，除了蘋果還有微軟，不過微軟在處理國旗問題時方便更直接了當，就是選擇用文字取代圖像。
