彭博的 Mark Gruman 在 Twitter 上表示用了兩天 Galaxy Fold 後，螢幕突然完全壞了不能用。他認為這可能跟自己撕掉螢幕表面的那層保護貼有關，事實上 Samsung 曾表示不應移除。
The phone comes with this protective layer/film. Samsung says you are not supposed to remove it. I removed it, not knowing you’re not supposed to (consumers won’t know either). 而 Youtuber Marques Brownlee 也遇到同樣的問題，他也曾嘗試拿掉這層「膜」，但發現這「膜」其實不是保護貼，只是看似保護貼。
