彭博大神 Mark Gurman 指出 M2 iPad Pro 會在短期內發佈，而知名螢幕面板分析師 Ross Young 在 Twitter 回應 M2 iPad Pro 11 吋版本會否使用新的 mini-LED 螢幕時表示，新版 iPad Pro 11 吋仍是使用上一代的 LED Liquid Retina ，而不是 12.9 吋版 iPad Pro 中使用的 mini-LED 技術。
外界估計蘋果為了要讓 11 吋及 12.9 吋的 iPad Pro 有足夠的差距，所以仍沒有為 11 吋 iPad Pro 換 mini-LED。現時消息指，M2 iPad Pro 不會有發佈會，只會以新聞稿方式宣佈推出。
